What is the RAL colour system and why does it matter?
RAL is a standardised colour classification developed in Germany nearly a century ago. Each colour has a four-digit code — RAL 9001 (cream), RAL 7016 (anthracite grey)… — so the shade you pick is exactly the shade that gets manufactured and delivered, every time.
Opaque, translucent or bi-colour — what's the difference?
Opaque finishes are solid, uniform colour — ideal for facades and pure colour blocking. Translucent varnishes and stains let the natural grain show through. Bi-colour gives you one shade facing inside and another outside, matching interior and facade at once.
Which finish needs the least maintenance?
Matte and textured finishes are the most forgiving: low sheen hides small flaws and wear. Gloss looks dramatic but shows fingerprints and scratches sooner. All our coatings keep upkeep simple — usually just mild soap and water.
