Glazing systems

A range of design features and technologies enhance the energy efficiency, durability, aesthetics, and functionality of windows. When selecting new windows, consider the frame materials, glazing or glass features, gas fills and spacers, and the type of operation. These elements contribute to the window’s energy-related properties. Look for an NFRC label to assess and compare the energy performance of different windows.

Window Glazing Options

Comprehensive Guide

Explore the possibilities in glazing to enhance efficiency, security, and aesthetics in every window.
Frame & glazing

Frame material & glazing performance

The right frame material and glazing build define a window's energy performance. Insulated Glazing Units (IGUs) with double or triple panes are standard in modern buildings — reducing heat transfer and boosting insulation.

Aluminium

Strong and low-maintenance; a thermal break boosts insulation.

Composite

Wood-polymer blend — excellent insulation, moisture resistance and stability.

Fibreglass

Highly durable and energy-efficient; can be further insulated.

Vinyl (PVC)

Low-maintenance and well-insulated; can be insulation-filled.

Wood

Naturally insulating and beautiful; can be clad in aluminium or vinyl.

Glazing build

Double or triple — choose your insulation

Multi-pane units are separated by warm-edge spacers and filled with argon (or krypton) gas. More panes and chambers mean a lower Ug — the lower the better.

ARGON
Double glazing
2 panes · argon-filled
Thermal insulation (Ug)1.1 → 0.7 W/m²K
Best insulation 2× ARGON
Triple glazing
3 panes · double chamber · argon
Thermal insulation (Ug)0.7 → 0.5 W/m²K

Safety classes

From everyday safety to bank-grade

Impact resistance and anti-burglary protection, graded by standard — pick the class that matches the project's risk.

O2
Everyday safety

Protects against injury if the glass breaks; reduces risk from door or window slamming.

P2A
Basic protection

Protects against injury and provides temporary burglary resistance.

P2
Anti-burglary

Two PVB films in the external glazing.

P4
Reinforced

Four PVB films in the external glazing.

P3A
P4A
High resistance

Burglary resistance equivalent to a 150 mm wire mesh.

P5A
Maximum resistance

Enhanced burglary resistance, equivalent to 12 mm steel bars.

VSG
Laminated film

Safety glass with a film on the external glazing.

VSG

Internal film

Safety film applied on the internal glazing.

VSG
Both sides

Film on internal and external glazing for maximum safety.

When the stakes are highest

Beyond everyday safety, two engineered glazings stand up to nature's force and deliberate threats — without compromising clarity or design.

Storm protection

Hurricane-Resistant Glass

Designed to withstand extreme winds and flying debris. Impact-resistant interlayers prevent shattering on impact, reducing the risk of injury and structural damage — year-round security, energy efficiency and peace of mind.

Bulletproof Glass

Engineered to withstand high-impact, ballistic forces. Multiple layers of laminated glass and polycarbonate absorb and disperse energy, preventing penetration while keeping full visibility — safety without compromising design or clarity.

Making a functional home

Prioritizing quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction

Our premium glazing solutions offer more than protection; they deliver peace of mind by combining refined elegance, enhanced security, and exceptional energy efficiency.

Window Operating Types

  • Awning & Casement — hinged and sealed tightly when closed.
  • Fixed Windows — non-operable, airtight option.
  • Sliding & Hung Windows — slightly higher air leakage, flexible ventilation.

Security & Safety Glass

Designed to deter intrusion and ensure user safety.

  • Anti-Burglary Glass — layers of PVB film increase resistance.
  • Fire-Resistant Glass — maintains integrity under high temperatures.

Glazing Profiles & Thickness

Different profiles allow variable glazing thickness, tailored to insulation needs.

  • Profile 68 — supports up to 40 mm glazing.
  • Profile 78 — accepts up to 50 mm glazing.
  • Profile 92 — up to 60 mm for top insulation.

Transom Bars in Architecture

  • Modern Architecture — adds aesthetic value and visual appeal.
  • Enhanced Appearance — improves window and façade aesthetics.
  • Architectural Character — distinctive style and personality.
  • Historic Renovations — keeps original aesthetics in larger panes.

Gas Fills & Spacers

Argon or krypton between glazing layers improves insulation by reducing heat transfer. Warm-edge spacers keep a consistent gap, minimise condensation and improve the U-factor.

Colour & Finish Options

Personalise your windows with a vast palette of RAL colours, textures, and wood-like finishes.

Your glazing, step by step

Four steps to the perfect glazing system

From glass type to the finishing touches — the order of decisions that builds comfort, safety and efficiency.

Choose your glazing type

Insulating, laminated, tempered or sound-absorbing glass — each offers specific benefits for thermal efficiency, durability and noise reduction. The foundation of indoor comfort.

Add performance coatings

Low-E and spectrally selective layers minimise energy loss and control solar heat gain — customised for your climate, reducing energy costs all year round.

Gas fills & spacer technology

Argon or krypton between the panes boosts insulation; warm-edge spacers reduce condensation and improve the overall efficiency of the unit.

Customise form & function

Frosted, tinted or patterned glass for privacy and style; mullions and structural transom bars for architectural character — a fully tailored result.
